5 more tips to help you achieve your goals

With New Year nearly upon us, it’s time to start thinking about our goals and resolutions for 2010. And despite what you may have heard, setting achievable goals is easy! The difficult part is in the execution of these goals.

Here are some interesting facts about resolutions, as reported by Psychologists Janet Polivy and Peter Herman:
– 25% of New Year resolutions will be abandoned in the first 15 weeks;
– the average number of times a person makes a New Year resolution is 10;
– people whose resolutions lasted for about 6 months or more often tried 5 or 6 times before they succeeded.

So don’t feel too bad if you’ve been on the New Year resolution rollercoaster as well. But this year, make things different and achieve your goals, with these simple strategies:

1. Write your resolutions down.
Once you’ve clearly identified and defined your goals and ambitions, write them down in a notebook. This is a great way to get mentally and physically committed to taking action.

Bad habits are all the behavior and personality traits that block your way in life and make it difficult for you to achieve your dreams and ambitions.

If you don’t know your weaknesses and habits in life, perhaps you can do what I did and ask any of your enemies to tell you.

2. Visualize your resolutions every day.
Keep your notebook with written down resolutions handy. Read your resolutions twice a day, first thing in the morning and just before you go to sleep at night. But don’t just read them to go through the process of treading them. Think about your resolutions and create a mental picture of what it will be like when you’ve achieve your resolutions.

Feel the excitement and positive emotions associated with achieving your goals, and use this positive energy to fuel your actions.

3. Find Resources to help you.
Search for and obtain tools and resources that can help you turn your resolutions, goals and ambitions into reality. It is not enough to dream about your goals. You must also obtain the necessary tools and resources to make your resolutions, goals and ambitions succeed.

The Internet is a powerful research tool. Search for and read articles on various topics to obtain valid useful information. Knowledge and its correct application is a very powerful force, and armed with the right information will go a long way to reaching your goals.

4. Update your resolutions
In some cases, the resolutions you made may not work out as you planned. So it is important to review and update them on a regular basis. Be flexible, but don’t break your commitment to your goals.

And when you achieve a goal, add another one to your notebook.

5. Believe and Trust yourself.
To make your goals and resolutions succeed, you must believe and trust in yourself. Most people fail in life because they don’t trust themselves and don’t have the self-confidence to take the necessary action on their the resolutions.

Stay away from negative people who suck every drop of enthusiasm. Seek out and associate with positive people who have the same ambitions in life as you do

No matter what happens in life, don’t give up on yourself. Never give up on your dreams and goals. Some dreams may take a short time to become a reality while others may take a long time, but all the same they will come true someday, if you keep moving on.
